In order to save the pending crops in the Amaravathi Dam main canal from Tuesday onwards, not exceeding 380.16 million cubic feet at the rate of 440 cusecs for 10 days from Tuesday till 18th of this month.
The water was opened in order to meet the drinking water requirement for special friendship.
The Public Works Department (PWD) has instructed to use water sparingly as the inflow of water into the Amaravathi dam is decreasing. At present, Amaravathi is 90 feet and the inflow of water is 60 feet as against 63.19 feet at present.
