Minister E V Velu inspects flyover works on Coimbatore-Avinashi road

Tamil Nadu Highways Minister E V Velu inspected the works at night. He then inquired from the officials about the quality of the wires used for the flyover works. He also examined the maps and models of the flyover.



Coimbatore: In order to ease the traffic congestion on the Coimbatore-Avinashi road, the construction of a high-level flyover for a distance of 10 km from Gold Vince area to Uppilipalayam at an estimated cost of Rs.1157 crore is in progress.



As per the directions of the Highways Minister of Tamil Nadu, the officials are inspecting these works from time to time.



At present, the work on the flyover on the Peelamedu-Avinashi road in Coimbatore is going on day and night.

He then inquired from the officials about the quality of the wires used for the flyover works. He also examined the maps and models of the flyover. Following this, he instructed the officials to complete the flyover work at the earliest and put it to use.



He also inspected the construction of pillars on the flyover by crane at night and also inspected the work on which pillars are being prepared for the flyover at Thennampalayam.



District Collector Kranthi kumar Pati, Corporation Commissioner Prathap and corporation officials were present during the inspection.
