Homage paid to Maaveeran Ondiveeran on his Death Anniversary in Coimbatore

On the occasion of the 252nd death anniversary of Maaveeran Ondiveeran on behalf of the National Scheduled Castes People's Rights Movement near Thudiyalur bus stop in Coimbatore, Kavundampalayam MLA P R G Arunkumar and others garlanded the portrait of Maaveeran Ondiveeran on the occasion of his 252nd death anniversary.



Coimbatore: The death anniversary of Maaveeran Ondiveeran was observed. At that time, after garlanding and paying homage to his portrait, welfare schemes were distributed to the differently-abled persons.

On the occasion of the 252nd death anniversary of Maaveeran Ondiveeran on behalf of the National Scheduled Castes People's Rights Movement near Thudiyalur bus stop in Coimbatore, Kavundampalayam MLA P R G Arunkumar and others garlanded the portrait of Maaveeran Ondiveeran on the occasion of his 252nd death anniversary. Subsequently, welfare schemes including rice, sarees and charts were distributed to the differently-abled persons.



On behalf of The National Movement for the Welfare of The Scheduled Castes, the 252nd death anniversary of Maaveeran Ondiveeran and distribution of welfare schemes was held near Thudiyalur bus stand in Coimbatore under the chairmanship of A. Marudachalam, founder president of National Scheduled Castes People's Welfare Movement. Kavundampalayam MLA and North district secretary P.R.G. Arunkumar, who was the chief guest, garlanded the portrait of Maveerar Ondiveeran and garlanded the statue of Maaveerar Ondiveeran on the occasion.

Dravida Chiruthaigal Katchi leader Paruvai Swaminathan participated in the event and narrated the history of Ondiveeran to the people.

Following this, MLA P R G Arunkumar distributed welfare schemes including rice, sarees and charts to differently-abled persons. Tamil Nadu Scheduled Castes Welfare Rights Movement General Secretary VPM Panneerselvam, National Scheduled Castes Welfare Rights Movement General Secretary Chandran and more than 100 public were present on the occasion.
