This morning, N. Karthick, MLA of Singanallur Constituency along with cadres of DMK staged a unprecedented protest in front of the Masakalipalayam Fair Price Shop urging that essential commodities are not being disbursed to the people on a timely manner.
Speaking on this MLA Karthick stated that, 'Across the Sate of Tamil Nadu the Fair Price Shops are not functioning fairly and supply of essential commodities has been stalled in many shops causing distress to the people who are very dependent on those commodities.
As this ruling State Government has not been focusing on such prime issues at all, our Party Leader Stalin has asked the MLAs of all constituencies in Tamil Nadu to probe on this issue to ensure orderly supply of essentials to the people. Hence, we have staged this protest at Masakalipalayam Fair Price Shop which has been alleged by people for disorderly supply of commodities'.
The Police arrested all the protestors including MLA Karthick for their protest.
