BJP activists detained in Coimbatore for protesting demanding resignation of Minister Sekar Babu

Tamil Nadu Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Minister Sekar Babu, who was attending a sanatan eradication conference in Chennai, was detained by the police for protesting to demand resignation of Minister Sekhar Babu.


Coimbatore: Police in Coimbatore arrested BJP workers from south district for staging a protest demanding the resignation of minister Sekhar Babu.

The Tamil Nadu Progressive Writers' Association had organized the Sanatan Abolition Conference in Chennai on The 2nd of this month. DMK youth wing secretary and Tamil Nadu Sports Minister Udhayanidhi And Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Minister Sekar Babu were also present at the conference.

Udhayanidhi's remarks on the abolition of Sanatana have sparked a controversy. Therefore, there is a growing condemnation of Udhayanidhi's speech. Meanwhile, the Coimbatore South district BJP staged a protest demanding the resignation of Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Minister Sekar Babu, who had participated in the Sanatan Abolition Conference.



A large number of people, including BJP state general secretary A P Muruganantham and BJP's Coimbatore South district president Vasantharajan, participated in the protest in Perur area and raised slogans.



The police later arrested the protesters.
