The volunteers also conducted an awareness drive to explain the health and environmental benefits of maintaining cleanliness to the villagers.

Over 500 volunteers from the Isha Foundation joined the Shramdaan cleanliness initiative on October 1st, 2023, as part of Swachh Bharat, which was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

As part of the initiative, the volunteers visited tribal and rural villages near the Isha Yoga Center in Coimbatore, with activities focused on cleaning their houses, toilets, and the village streets. In addition to these efforts, drains and other public areas were also cleaned.

The volunteers also conducted an awareness drive to explain the health and environmental benefits of maintaining cleanliness to the villagers.

Furthermore, Isha Volunteers also participated in a marathon at Boluvampatti to amplify the message.

Enthusiastic students from Isha Samskriti and Isha Home School also came together to participate in this noble cause.

Sharing his message on the eve of Swachh Bharat Shramdaan, Sadhguru on social media X shared, “Striving to keep clean our temples, streets, and most importantly, our minds, is a significant step towards reaching the heights of our prosperity. May this be an expression of our love and commitment to Bharat and the profound civilization upon which it continues to rise. -Sg”
