First Anniversary of Coimbatore Car Bombings Commemorated with Enhanced Police Security

Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu: On the first anniversary of the car bombings that took place at Ukkadam Kottai Easwaran Temple last year on October 23, the police have stepped up security measures during the commemoration event.

Last year, on October 23, a car explosion occurred at the temple premises, which was carried out by Jameesha Mubeen. Initially deemed a cylinder blast accident, subsequent investigations by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) confirmed it as a car bombing. NIA officials are conducting ongoing inquiries into the incident.



To mark this occasion, the Ukkadam Kottai Easwaran Temple witnessed a significant police presence and heightened security. Over twenty police personnel, including officers involved in the investigation of the car bombing, have been assigned to bolster security arrangements.

The temple premises hosted Ayudha Pooja celebrations, attracting numerous devotees and locals who gathered to worship. The enhanced police presence aimed to ensure the safety of all participants and prevent any untoward incidents.

The anniversary serves as a reminder of the tragic event and the ongoing efforts of law enforcement agencies to ascertain the details of the car bombing incident.
