Thandiperumalpuram’s New 178 MLD Water Collection Facility Undergoes Second Phase Testing

The ₹779.86 crore Pillur-III water project progresses with a new 178 MLD Water collection facility. CCMC Commissioner Prabhakaran inspects with key Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage Board officials.


Coimbatore: As part of the ₹779.86 crore Pillur-III drinking water project, which utilizes the Bhavani River as its source, a significant development has taken place in the Marudur Village and Thandiperumalpuram area. A natural water collection facility with a capacity of 178 MLD, built at a cost of ₹104.90 crore, is undergoing its second phase of clean water testing.



This testing, which stretches from Marudur to the main water storage tank in Pannimadai, was recently inspected by Municipal Commissioner M. Shivakuru Prabhakaran.



Accompanying him were several key officials: the Regional Chief Engineer of the Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage Board, Sellamuthu, Administrative Engineer Senthilkumar, Assistant Administrative Engineers Pattan and Radha, Coordinator Srinivasan, along with other officials from the Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage Board and the Municipal Corporation.
