A grand pooja dedicated to Brahmarishi Viswamitra was conducted in Sanganur, Coimbatore, featuring 1008 conches and Spatika Lingams, attended by a large number of devotees.
Coimbatore: The Brahmarishi Viswamitra Dhyanapeetam in Sanganur, Coimbatore, celebrated its 9th annual Gurupooja festival in a grand manner. The event saw the participation of over 1000 devotees who came to offer their prayers.

The special pooja featured 1008 conches and 1008 Spatika (crystal) Lingams, and an abhishekam with 140 kg of Rudraksha.

Participants adorned themselves with Rudraksha garlands during the pooja, which was conducted to increase global awareness of Brahmarishi Viswamitra.

He is renowned in Puranas as the originator of the Gayatri Mantra, and the designer of ancient Shiva temples. The pooja was performed without any donations from attendees, focusing on spiritual awakening and the significance of worshipping God.
