Grand Valli Kummi Performance in Pollachi with 1000 Artists Raises Awareness of Traditional Arts

A spectacular Valli Kummi dance event in Pollachi, featuring 1000 artists, aims to promote traditional arts and celebrate the glory of women.


Coimbatore: On Jan 8, Pollachi witnessed a magnificent cultural event, the Valli Kummi Arangetram, with the participation of 1000 artists. Organized by Kongu Nadu Kaakkum Karangal Trust and Karaala Vamsam Kadaich Sangam, the event took place at the ground opposite Murugan Wedding Hall on Coimbatore Road.

The event aimed to highlight the importance of women and to bring traditional arts to the forefront among the current generation. The Valli Kummi performance, a traditional dance form, was specifically chosen to be showcased in various villages as part of a larger initiative to spread awareness about these art forms.







A large number of local residents from Pollachi and its surrounding areas attended the event, appreciating the performance. The event was inaugurated by ER. Eswaran, Member of Legislative Assembly, Tiruchengode, and General Secretary of Kongu Nadu People's National Party, marking a significant effort to revive and promote traditional cultural practices in the region.
