Full Bus Operations in Pollachi Amidst Statewide Transport Strike

Despite the transport unions' strike over six key demands including pension and DA for retirees, Pollachi region sees all buses running as per usual schedule.


Coimbatore:

In the midst of a statewide transport strike called by various unions emphasizing six major demands such as filling vacant positions and implementing old pension schemes, Pollachi's transport services remain unaffected.





From the three bus depots in the area, a total of 194 buses for local and outstation routes have been operational since this morning, ensuring regular travel for workers, college students, and outstation passengers.

Transport corporation officials have confirmed that 100% of the bus services are running in Pollachi, offering relief to commuters despite the ongoing strike.
