Coimbatore: Today, primary education teachers, represented by the Joint Action Committee of Tamil Nadu Primary Education Teachers, staged a protest at the Palladam Tahsildar office in Tirupur district. The teachers are demanding the immediate cancellation of Government Order (G.O.) 243, which they claim jeopardizes the promotional opportunities of 90% of the teachers in the primary education sector. Additionally, they are calling for the immediate release of an order pertaining to 12 demands agreed upon in a discussion with the School Education Minister, Mr. Dittu Jack, and his high-level committee.
