Hanuman Jayanti Festivities at Dharapuram Kotaimedu Temple

Kotaimedu Temple in Dharapuram, Tirupur district, celebrated Hanuman Jayanti with unique devotional ceremonies, drawing numerous devotees for the special occasion.


Coimbatore: The renowned Kotaimedu Temple, nestled in the streets of Dharapuram, Tirupur district, observed Hanuman Jayanti with a series of unique and sacred rituals. The temple, dedicated to Anjaneya, was a hive of activity as devotees gathered to participate in the 16 different types of abhishekams (holy anointments) using milk, rosewater, tender coconut water, and other fragrant substances.







The attendees, led by prominent local leaders including Padmanabhan, Nagar Council Leader, and Senthilkumar, Union Council Chief, experienced a profound spiritual atmosphere, heightened by the lighting of ghee lamps and the singing of bhajans in praise of Lord Hanuman. The temple priests carried out the poojas with great reverence, culminating in the distribution of prasadam and a communal feast. This event at Kotaimedu Temple underscored the rich tapestry of faith and community spirit in Coimbatore.
