Park Institutions' Splendid Pongal Celebration 2024: Embracing Agriculture and Nature

Dr. Anusha Ravi, CEO of Park Institutions, emphasized the importance of supporting agriculture and preserving nature at the grand Pongal festival celebration held in Coimbatore.


Coimbatore: The Park Institution’s Pongal festival on January 12, 2024, was a magnificent affair, echoing the sentiment of embracing agriculture and nature. Held in Kaniyur, Coimbatore, the event saw the participation of 2000 students and 300 teachers, making it a grand celebration.



The festival began with teachers and students coming together to cook Pongal, a traditional sweet dish, symbolizing gratitude towards nature, the Sun, and livestock. The day was also filled with traditional performances like Oyilattam, Silambattam, Bharatanatyam, and Kummi, showcasing the talents of both teachers and students.



A variety of traditional games and competitions like Uri Adithal (pot-breaking), spinning tops, and tug of war added excitement to the celebration. Dr. Anusha Ravi lauded the students' efforts, emphasizing the importance of Pongal as a day of expressing gratitude for nature's bounty.



The day concluded with the distribution of prizes to students and teachers who won various sports and cultural competitions. All participants enjoyed a sumptuous traditional Pongal feast, marking the end of a memorable and culturally rich celebration.
