MDMK Peelamedu Party Wing Hosts Grand Pongal Celebration in Coimbatore

The Peelamedu Party Wing of MDMK in Coimbatore organized an impressive Pongal celebration, complete with flag hoisting and distribution of sweet Pongal.


Coimbatore: In a display of cultural pride, the Peelamedu Party Wing of MDMK in Coimbatore district conducted a splendid Pongal festival.



The event was spearheaded by SP Velliyangiri, the Party Secretary of the Peelamedu area, ensuring a memorable celebration for the community.



The 26th Ward Committee's Pongal celebration was marked by a flag hoisting ceremony by Pioneer Thiyagu, the Deputy Secretary of the Urban District.



This was followed by the distribution of sweet Pongal by Pushpa Kalaiwarasan, Deputy Organizer of the Urban Women's Team.



Ganga Kuppusamy, the Party Wing Chairman of the 27th Ward Committee, also participated in the flag hoisting ceremony.



Chitra Velliyangiri, a member of the MDMK Council, and Subramaniam, the representative of the 26th Ward Committee, played a significant role in distributing sweet Pongal to the attendees.



Further adding to the festivities, the 48th Ward Committee's event featured Deputy Secretary Su Thooya Mani hoisting the flag, with Party Representative Subramaniam distributing sweet Pongal.

Prominent figures like Party Secretaries Goodluck Jayakumar, Lakshmi Mill Natarajan, Vasudevan, Bishir Rajkumar Kalaiyarasan, along with Arul Sakthi Murugesan, Deputy Organizer of the Student Wing, Eswaran, and Liba Babu, were also present. The celebration showcased the rich traditions and community spirit of the Peelamedu area.
