Coimbatore: The DMK Singanallur Party in the 58th Ward, Coimbatore, commemorated the Tamil New Year and Tamil Heritage Day with an exceptional celebration involving 72 Pongal pots. The event, symbolizing equality and community spirit, was part of the Anna Manram initiative.

DMK's Urban District Secretary, N. Karthik, graced the occasion and inaugurated the festivities. He hoisted the DMK flag and delivered a special address, appreciating the cultural significance of the event.

The celebration was further marked by the commencement of the Samathuva Pongal (Equality Pongal) event. SM Samy, Secretary of the Peelamedu Party Ward-1, led the proceedings. The event witnessed the participation of former Deputy District Secretary R.K. Kumareshan, Ward Secretaries Th.Ilango, Rajendran, Suresh Kumar, LPF Shanmugam, Thennavar Selvam, and Councillors Sumithra Deepak and Santhamani Paneerselvam.
