Anganwadi employees continue their protest for the third consecutive day.

The Tamil Nadu Anganwadi Employees are on strike for the third consecutive day. Demanding to regularise their monthly remuneration and provide them retirement benefits, close to 300 employees from the district of Coimbatore staged a sit-in-protest before the BSNL Office, Near Collectorate. 



Protesting Anganwadi women tied black scarfs to show their agitation. The area remained tense for a while, as the women protestors laid themselves down on the roads and raised slogans to fulfil their long-pending pleas.

All the 300 employees courted arrests for blocking the roads.
