DMK Organizes Plastic Avoidance Awareness Program in Pollachi

An awareness campaign for plastic avoidance, led by DMK's Advocate Panchalingam, was held in Pollachi with notable DMK members distributing cloth bags to the public.


Coimbatore: An awareness campaign titled 'Avoid Plastic' was organized today in Pollachi under the leadership of Advocate Panchalingam, Deputy Organizer of the DMK's Adi Dravidar Welfare Committee in South Coimbatore District. Key DMK members, including Thippampatti Aruchamy, Joint Secretary of the DMK State Adi Dravidar Welfare Committee, and Dharmaraj, Deputy Secretary of DMK Pollachi City, participated in the event. The program focused on educating the public about the environmental hazards of plastic and promoting the use of cloth bags, which were distributed to the attendees.

The initiative is part of a larger effort to reduce plastic pollution and encourage sustainable practices among the residents of Pollachi. This event is seen as a significant step in raising awareness about the detrimental effects of plastic on the environment and promoting eco-friendly alternatives.
