48 new surveillance cameras added in Ashokapuram and Rakkipalayam areas under Coimbatore's Thudiyalur Police Station limit

Coimbatore: In a significant move towards enhanced public safety and courteous policing, the Coimbatore City Commissioner, Balakrishnan, inaugurated a new checking booth and surveillance camera room in the Thudiyalur police station limits.



The event marked the addition of 48 new surveillance cameras in the Ashokapuram and Rakkipalayam areas, contributed by the public and private enterprises.



During the inauguration at the newly established checkpoint in Rakkipalayam, Commissioner Balakrishnan stressed the importance of polite conduct at checkpoints. He emphasized that checkpoints should not become sites of discomfort, and that officers should courteously request compliance from drivers during inspections. After checks, they should thank the public for their cooperation and send them off with good wishes for a safe journey.

The event also witnessed the inauguration of the surveillance camera room by Mohanraj, founder of Shakti Auto Auxiliaries Pvt Ltd. The new surveillance system aims to bolster security and monitor activities in the region more effectively.



The ceremony was attended by Assistant Commissioners Saravanakumar, Chandrasekaran, Inspectors Rathinakumar, Rajesh, Saravanan, District Councilor Karthik, Union Councilor Aruchamy, Narasimmanayakanpalayam Panchayat Leader Maragatham Veerapathiran, Deputy Leader Shanmugasundaram, Women's Wing Organizer Rangarayaki, Ashokapuram Village Council Head Ramesh, former Ward Councilor Ashokkumar, and former Deputy Leader Sudhakar, among others.
