School students of Coonoor sensitize public on water conservation, this World Water Day

Hundreds of school students from Coonoor observed the World Water day by conducting an awareness rally. The rally was formally inaugurated by Geetha Priya, Divisional Revenue Officer.


The students held placards and raised slogans on need for conservation of water. The students also stressed on the impact of littering in water bodies which not only obstructs and contaminates the water body but also creates an imbalance in the eco-system.

Garnering the attention of the public, the rally that began at Blue hills area toured through prominent places of the city and ended at the Fire Service department.
