Women in Coimbatore marked the Ayodhya Ram Temple consecration with a procession, carrying lamps and dressed as Lord Rama.
Coimbatore: In a splendid display of devotion and celebration, women in Coimbatore commemorated the consecration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. This came following the grand Kumbhabhishekam ceremony at the temple, overseen by the Prime Minister. Houses across the city lit up with lamps as a mark of reverence and joy. Throughout the country, this event was eagerly anticipated, and Coimbatore residents joined in with their unique expression of festivity.
Special prayers and bhajans were conducted in Rama temples throughout Tamil Nadu. In Coimbatore, particularly in the Kathir Naickenpalayam, Anna Nagar area, over 50 households participated. They welcomed the occasion by drawing colorful kolams and lighting lamps in their homes.

Continuing the celebrations, a procession was organized where women and children, dressed as Lord Rama, paraded through the streets carrying lit lamps. This procession ended at the local Rama temple, where special worship activities took place.
