The Cable TV Distributors Association in Coimbatore thanks the Tamil Nadu government for establishing a welfare board, fulfilling a 20-year-old demand.
Coimbatore: The Cable TV Distributors Association, led by R. Udhayakumar, President and 98th Ward DMK Councillor, expressed gratitude to the Tamil Nadu government for establishing a welfare board for cable TV operators and workers. A petition was submitted to Coimbatore District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati to convey their appreciation.
Udhayakumar, while addressing the media, highlighted that the association had been demanding for 20 years a welfare board that includes ID cards, marriage assistance, maternity aid, and accident insurance for cable TV operators and workers. The DMK government recently fulfilled this longstanding request.
The petition was presented as a token of gratitude to the government for its initiative. Accompanying Udhayakumar were association administrators including R.S. Puram K.R. Kumar, Arulkumar, Balaji, Pollachi Farooq, Sulur Sebastian, operators Vivek, Parthasarathi, Thennampalayam Venkatachalam, Arasur Ponnusamy, Thondamuthur Srinivasan, and Vedapatti Duraisingh.
