Inspection of Underground Drainage Works by CCMC Commissioner in Coimbatore

Coimbatore Municipal Commissioner, Mr. M.A. Sivaguru Prabakaran, inspected the ongoing underground drainage project in Sundarapuram and SIDCO area, with an emphasis on expediting the work.


Coimbatore: In a significant development in Coimbatore's infrastructure projects, Municipal Commissioner Mr. M.A. Sivaguru Prabakaran, IAS, conducted a thorough inspection of the underground drainage works in Ward No. 87, Pollachi Main Road, specifically in the Sundarapuram and SIDCO area. The project, valued at Rs. 591.14 crore, aims to enhance the sewage system in Kurichi and Kuniamuthur areas.

During his visit on January 22, Mr. Prabakaran directed the engineers involved to accelerate the completion of the project. Accompanying him were Deputy Mayor R. Vetriselvan, South Zone Chairman R. Danalakshmi, Council Member Mr. Gunasekaran, Assistant Commissioner Mr. Prem Anand, officials from the Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage Board, engineers from L&T, and other municipal officials.

The inspection underscores the city's commitment to improving its sanitation and drainage facilities, directly impacting the quality of life for residents in these rapidly developing areas. The project is a part of Coimbatore's broader initiative to modernize its urban infrastructure.
