In a fit of rage, Sister stomps brother to death in Selvapuram.


This morning, at Kallamedu area, near Selvapuram a 32-year old man, Selvaraj was stomped to death by his own sister Nagalakshmi, aged 23.

It has been reported that Nagalakshmi, a divorcee has expressed her wish of re-marriage to her mother Renuka and her brother. Though Renuka did not have much of an objection, Selvaraj stood dead against her decision of re-marriage.

It is also reported that Nagaraj was unwell and has been undergoing treatment for his sickness. Today morning, a verbal war broke out between the siblings on the re-marraige issue. In a fit of rage,  Nagalakshmi pushed Selvaraj down and stomped him to death.

Selvaraj's cried out of pain, which alarmed the neighbours. As they rushed towards his home, they were shell-shocked to find Selvaraj in a dead state.

The Selvapuram police arrived to the spot and arrested Nagalakshmi and sent the victim's body to the Government hospital for post-mortem.

This day-light murder has shocked the people of Selvapuram, as the murderer is a women and is also the sister of the victim.
