TN Govt should bear full medical expenses for Reporter Nesaprabhu: Journalists Protest in Dharapuram

Coimbatore: A significant protest was held by journalists in Dharapuram, Tiruppur district, against the brutal attack on News7 television reporter Nesaprabhu. The incident, which occurred near Palladam, has sparked outrage among the media community.

The protest, held in front of the Anna statue, saw journalists from Dharapuram, Kunnathur, Moolanur, and Tiruppur joining in solidarity. The demonstrators demanded that the Tamil Nadu government bear the full medical expenses of injured reporter Nesaprabhu. They also called for the assurance of safety for all journalists across Tamil Nadu.

The journalists criticized the police for their alleged negligence and demanded the permanent dismissal of officers who failed to act. They urged the authorities to arrest everyone involved in the murderous assault and sought life imprisonment for all the culprits.







The incident has highlighted the need for greater protection for journalists, who often face risks in the line of duty. The protest aimed to bring attention to the challenges faced by journalists and to push for stricter measures to ensure their safety.
