Teachers' Hunger Strike in Coimbatore for Pension Scheme Reinstatement

Over a hundred teachers participated in a massive hunger strike organized by the Tamil Nadu Primary School Teachers' Association in Coimbatore's Sivananda Colony, demanding the reinstatement of the old pension scheme.


Coimbatore: A hunger strike was held today, January 27, in Sivananda Colony, Coimbatore, organized by the Tamil Nadu Primary School Teachers' Association. The protest focused on demanding the reinstatement of the old pension scheme.



Teachers participating in the strike presented various demands, with the primary call for bringing back the previous pension plan.



Notably, more than a hundred educators joined this peaceful demonstration, highlighting their commitment to securing better retirement benefits and expressing their concerns over the current pension arrangements.
