A groundbreaking ceremony was held on January 28 for the construction of a new ration shop in Peelamedu Ward No. 27, Coimbatore, funded by the MLA Development Fund.
Coimbatore: In a significant development for the residents of Peelamedu Ward No. 27 in Singanallur constituency of Coimbatore Municipal District, a new ration shop is set to be constructed. The project, financed through the MLA Development Fund, officially commenced with a Bhoomi Pooja (groundbreaking ceremony) on January 28.

The ceremony was initiated by MLA K.R. Jayaram. This event marked the start of the construction work for the ration shop, which aims to provide subsidized essential commodities to the local community.
The ceremony was attended by area secretary Melanasamy, zone secretaries Vivekanandan, Selvaraj, Rajkumar, PK Rajendran, Suresh, Anandan, Ramesh, along with other party officials and members of the public. This development is a step forward in improving the public distribution system in the region.
