Coimbatore: In a significant educational initiative, Karpagam Nursing College teamed up with Shanti Ashram to celebrate National Deworming Day on February 8, 2024, from 10:00 to 10:30 AM at Lecture Hall II. The event was meticulously organized under the guidance of the college principal and with substantial support from the management. The programme commenced with a welcome speech, setting the stage for an enriching session.

Ms. Agalya, a third-semester student, took the lead by sharing insights learned from Shanti Ashram about the Role of ICDS (Integrated Child Development Services) in National Deworming Day. This was followed by Ms. Reanisha from Shanti Ashram, who enlightened the attendees on the critical importance of deworming. Adding to the informative session, Ms. Kavitha, a second-year student, presented a comprehensive PowerPoint presentation on National Deworming Day. To further the cause, pamphlets and deworming tablets were distributed among all students and faculty members to raise awareness about the complications of anaemia. The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, marking the end of a successful programme dedicated to promoting health and wellness among the college community.
