Coimbatore: The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) sponsored “Biogas Programme†is functioning at Biogas Development and Training Centre (BDTC), Department of Renewable Energy Engineering, Agricultural Engineering College and Research Institute (AEC&RI), Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore.
The turnkey workers training programme on “Biogas Technology for Sustainable Fuel and Organic Manure†was organized from 02.02.2024 to 16.02.2024 (15 days). The valedictory programme was conducted on 16.02.2024 at AEC&RI, Seminar Hall. Dr.V.Palaniselvam, Professor (Bioenergy) welcomed the gathering. The participants expressed a positive feedback on the way in which the training was organized, technical lectures delivered by faculty and hands on experience during the survey and field visits.
Dr.D.Ramesh, Professor and Head cum Coordinator-BDTC, delivered the felicitation address. He sought input from the trainees and encouraged them to explore biogas technology as a means to meet energy demands and foster a pollution-free environment, promoting sustainability.
