'Inconveniences more than Conveniences', say Residents of Ward No:22.

The residents of Ward No:22 allege that despite constant complaints on the potholes in their street and non-clearance of garbage, no action has been initiated by the Corporation, so far.

'In Bharathi Park, 1st cross, 5th cross. 7th cross, and 6th cross there are many potholes in the road creating inconvenience to the motorists, and presently the entire road has become so uneven. The motorists travel criss-cross on the roads to avoid bumping into the potholes, which lead to accidents. Timely intervention would have reduced the potholes becoming so wider, as it is now.  After every rain, new cracks get formed on the roads and it is increasingly difficult for the residents and the commuters to use the road.

In the 5th cross of the Bharathi Park, the storm water drainage is completely clogged with trash of all kinds, making the purpose of the drainage totally useless.

Along with this, Construction debris is been dumped on the sides of the streets. We have intimated the Corporation to clear the debris as it narrows the road and hinders the traffic. But the debris is not been cleared till date. Accumulation of debris for prolonged period prompts others to trash their wastes from demolition, household garbage and make it a permanent trash site.

The rest of the trash along the sides of the roads aren't cleared instead Corporation workers set fire to the trash and leave the whole area polluted. The smoke emanating from the trash pose a serious threat to the motorists who use the road.  Such acts, contaminate the environment and also turns to be hazardous to health.

City Corporation should look into these issues on priority and do the needful for the welfare of the residents of Ward No:22' said residents of Ward No:22.
