Coimbatore Celebrates 76th Birth Anniversary of Former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa

AIADMK members in Coimbatore commemorated the 76th birth anniversary of the late former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa with a procession and garlanding her statue on Avinashi Road, led by MLA Amman K. Arjunan on February 24.


Coimbatore: In remembrance of the late former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa's 76th birth anniversary, AIADMK members in Coimbatore, led by MLA Amman K. Arjunan, organized a tribute by taking out a procession from the party office and garlanding her statue on Avinashi Road today, February 24. The celebration continued at the party office, where the party flag was hoisted, and Jayalalithaa's portrait was honored with flower petals. A cake cutting ceremony also took place as part of the commemoration.

Additionally, the Coimbatore District Jayalalithaa Forum provided educational scholarships, financial assistance, and medical aid, followed by the distribution of annadhanam (food donation) to everyone present. The event witnessed the participation of numerous party functionaries, including former Minister S.P. Velumani, Singanallur Constituency MLA K.R. Jayaram, South Suburban District MGR Youth Wing Secretary Engineer Chandrasekar, former MLA Duraimurugan, Assembly Leader Singai Muthu, Council Secretary Councillor Prabhakaran, C.D.C. Jaffar, among others, who paid their respects to the revered leader.
