Coimbatore: Anaimalai region is currently experiencing a significant increase in the production of coconut leaf cadjan, with over 500 sites dedicated to this traditional craft. These eco-friendly products are widely used across various parts of Tamil Nadu, including Thanjavur, Sirkali, Chidambaram, and Tirupur, for constructing residential roofs, sheds, poultry farms, and onion storage facilities.

With the onset of summer, the demand for palm leaf products across the state has surged, leading to an intensified production effort in the Anaimalai area. Local artisans and producers are working tirelessly to meet this growing demand, showcasing the importance of sustainable and traditional building materials in modern construction.
