Karpagam College of Engineering Hosts Successful Workshop on Machine Learning and Data Analytics

The Department of Information Technology at Karpagam College of Engineering organized a one-day workshop on "Machine Learning and Data Analytics" on 24th February 2024, attracting over 100 participants from various institutions across Tamil Nadu.


Coimbatore: The Department of Information Technology at Karpagam College of Engineering held a one-day workshop titled "Machine Learning and Data Analytics" on 24th February 2024.



The workshop aimed at providing comprehensive insights into the field of data science, drawing over 100 attendees from different educational institutions around Tamil Nadu.



Dr. N.M. Saravanakumar, Head of the Department, inaugurated the event with a warm welcome address. He expressed his gratitude towards the attendees for their enthusiastic participation. The workshop featured two main sessions: "Data Analytics using Python" in the morning, conducted by Dr. Deepa S, Associate Professor, Department of EC, and "Machine Learning using Anaconda" in the afternoon, led by Dr. Saravanakumar G., Professor, both from Karpagam College of Engineering, Coimbatore.





Participants received practical knowledge and hands-on experience in Python programming, data manipulation, visualization, statistical analysis, and understanding machine learning algorithms. The event not only facilitated learning and skill development but also provided a platform for networking and collaboration among attendees from diverse backgrounds. This interaction fostered a deeper understanding of the latest advancements in data science, making the workshop a significant success.

A Suganya, Assistant Professor/IT and the workshop's coordinator, concluded the event with a vote of thanks. She acknowledged the efforts of the resource persons, participants, and the organizing team for their vital contributions to the workshop's success.
