Coimbatore: The anticipatory bail plea of Sharmila, a call taxi driver from Vadavalli, was dismissed by the court yesterday (March 1). Sharmila had earlier posted a video on social media, claiming she was spoken to disrespectfully by SI Rajeswari of Kattoor police for parking her vehicle in a no-parking zone on Sathy Road on February 2.

Following the video's circulation, SI Rajeswari filed a complaint in the cybercrime department, leading to the registration of a case against Sharmila. In response, Sharmila sought anticipatory bail, which was ultimately dismissed by the court, leaving the call taxi driver to face the legal proceedings initiated against her.
