Polio Vaccination Camp Launched in Peelamedu Pudur, Coimbatore

A special polio vaccination camp was inaugurated today in the Peelamedu Pudur and College Nagar areas at the Primary Health Center, by East Zone Chairperson of Coimbatore City Corporation, Lakshmi Ilanchezhiyan Karthik.


Coimbatore: In a significant health drive, a special polio vaccination camp was inaugurated in Peelamedu Pudur, including the College Nagar areas, at the local Primary Health Center today, March 3. Mrs. Lakshmi Ilanchezhiyan Karthik, East Zone Chairperson of Coimbatore City Corporation, initiated the camp as part of a broader effort to ensure the well-being and health security of the children in the area.

The event was attended by notable figures, including Mr. R. Manikandan, a member of the political party's general committee, Mr. K. Narayanan, the 52nd Ward Circle Secretary, Sundarrajan, Auto Vasu, and other party administrators, highlighting the community's collective effort in the fight against polio. A large turnout of the public also participated in this health initiative, showcasing the community's support and awareness towards eradicating polio.



This vaccination drive is a crucial step in maintaining Coimbatore's status as a polio-free region, reflecting the commitment of local authorities and the community towards public health and prevention.
