The 11th edition of the International Engineering Sourcing Show (IESS), organized by EEPC India, will take place from March 4 to 6 at the Codissia Trade Fair Complex, showcasing India's prowess in engineering and manufacturing.

Coimbatore: The Codissia Trade Fair Complex in Coimbatore is gearing up to host the 11th edition of the International Engineering Sourcing Show (IESS) from March 4 to 6. Organized by EEPC India, this annual event is recognized as the only global exhibition displaying India's capabilities in metal and metal-based engineering, drawing attention to the country's engineering sector.

This year, the theme of the event is #SmartSustainableEngineering, aiming to highlight the intersection of smart and sustainable manufacturing practices. Arun Kumar Garodia, Chairman of EEPC India, emphasized the importance of integrating smart manufacturing, which has been a trend for over a decade, with sustainable manufacturing, a more recent focus aimed at reducing environmental impact across the product lifecycle.

The IESS XI aims to diversify India's market dependencies, develop domestic markets, encourage partnerships, and enhance trade relations, offering a platform for both Indian and international entities to demonstrate their strengths. The event also supports the Aatmanirbhar Bharat vision, advocating for sustainable economic development and innovation in manufacturing.

Distinguished guests, including Vipul Bansal, IAS, Joint Secretary, Department of Commerce, Government of India; R.D. Nazeem, IAS, Principal Secretary, Government of Himachal Pradesh; and Archana Patnaik, IAS, Secretary, Department of MSME, Government of Tamil Nadu, attended the inauguration.

The event will feature 13 knowledge sessions, with participants from diverse sectors including defense production, steel manufacturing, automotive, design, and e-mobility. Approximately 300 exhibitors will display 149 engineering products, with around 10,000 trade visitors and 300 overseas buyers from over 40 countries expected to attend. The IESS promises to be an engineering extravaganza with B2B meetings, global sourcing meets, and a variety of pavilions showcasing country, state, industry, and technology advancements.

EEPC India also released a white paper on “A Sustainable Future with Smart Engineering” as part of its commitment to promoting net-zero emissions and spreading awareness about smart and sustainable engineering practices.
