Allegations of Negligence by Tiruppur Municipality Officials: IUML District Leader's Statement

In a recent meeting, IUML District Leader Syed Mustafa highlighted the negligence of officials in Tiruppur Municipality, causing disrepute to the Tamil Nadu government. Essential services are reportedly ignored in the 45th Ward, leading to public distress.

Coimbatore: The Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) in Tiruppur North District held a general body meeting at the party office on Kamaraj Road, led by District Leader Syed Mustafa. The meeting focused on strategies to ensure the victory of the DMK alliance candidate in the Tiruppur parliamentary constituency. Post-meeting, Syed Mustafa addressed the media, reiterating IUML's support at the national level for the alliance and commitment to work wholeheartedly for the DMK-led alliance's success in Tamil Nadu. He also nominated officials for this purpose.

Continuing, Mustafa criticized the actions of officials in the Tiruppur Municipality, particularly concerning the 45th Ward, where the IUML party had previously secured a council member position. He accused the municipality officials of negligence that tarnished the Tamil Nadu government's reputation. Mustafa claimed that despite repeated reminders to the municipality mayor and officials, there was a complete disregard for the essential services in the 45th Ward, leading to significant public suffering.

Mustafa specifically pointed out the increase in property taxes, designating areas such as Sathyamangalam Nagar and Jamjam Nagar under Zone 1, which resulted in a 100% tax increase. This has caused considerable hardship for the residents, many of whom belong to low-income groups. Moreover, he highlighted the issue of garbage collection and the absence of proper sewage facilities, which has turned sewage water into groundwater, thereby worsening the sanitary conditions in the area.
