A National Lok Adalat in Valparai, Coimbatore, adjudicated 34 cases, resolving disputes amounting to ₹68 lakhs. The camp, led by Justice Senthilkumar, processed various cases including police, cheque bounce, and education loan disputes.
Coimbatore: The Valparai Court in Coimbatore district hosted a National Lok Adalat camp, presided over by Justice Senthilkumar with Chief Clerk Anita in attendance. Lawyer Muthuswamy explained the functions and benefits of the Lok Adalat to the attendees, emphasizing its role in amicable dispute resolution.
During the camp, 110 cases were taken up for resolution, out of which 34 cases, involving police disputes, cheque bounces, and education loan issues, were successfully resolved. The resolved cases amounted to approximately ₹38.96 lakhs. Additionally, six cases, pending for over five years, were also concluded at the camp.
The legal proceedings were carried out by Valparai Muniyandi, along with legal work related to laws by Kanchamalai Muniyandi and D.A. Suresh. Lawyers Sivasubramaniam, Sumathi, and members of the Lawyers Association, including Secretary R.R. Perumal, Lawyer Muthuswamy, and Lawyer Balpandi, participated in the event. This National Lok Adalat marks a significant step towards speedy and effective resolution of legal disputes in the region.
