Devotees Throng Masani Amman Temple in Anaimalai on Amavasai

Marking the occasion of Amavasai, thousands of devotees from various parts of Tamil Nadu, including Coimbatore, visited the renowned Masani Amman Temple in Anaimalai, Pollachi, seeking blessings and participating in rituals since early morning.


Coimbatore: The Masani Amman Temple, situated near Anaimalai in Pollachi, renowned for its significance and sanctity, witnessed an influx of devotees on the occasion of Amavasai. This year, the Amavasai day coincided with Sunday, March 10, attracting thousands of devotees from different parts of Tamil Nadu, including Coimbatore, who gathered at the temple from early morning, forming long queues to offer their prayers and seek blessings from the deity.



The Masani Amman Temple, famed for its unique deity and revered traditions, has always been a spiritual magnet during Amavasai, a day considered auspicious for honoring ancestors and performing related rituals. The surge of devotees began in the early hours, with individuals and families waiting patiently in long lines to have a darshan of the revered goddess Masani Amman.

Given the significant number of worshippers congregating for the sacred observance, police personnel were deployed in large numbers to manage the crowd and ensure the safety and security of all present. The devotees' fervent participation underscored their deep faith and the temple's cultural and spiritual importance in the region.

This spiritual gathering not only highlights the devotees' unwavering faith but also the temple's role in preserving and nurturing religious traditions. The Masani Amman Temple continues to be a beacon of hope and faith for many, offering solace and spiritual guidance to those who seek the blessings of the divine.
