Coimbatore: In a significant academic initiative, top students from the 3rd year of B.E Environmental Engineering and B.E Agriculture Engineering at Park College of Technology and Park College Engineering and Technology engaged in an educational visit to the ICAR - Sugarcane Breeding Institute, Government of India, located at Karumalai, Chettipalayam, Veerakeralam, Coimbatore, on March 11, 2024.

The visit was directed by Dr. Anusha Ravi, CEO of Park Group of Institutions, allowing students to interact with renowned ICAR scientists. Students had the opportunity to meet with the Principal Scientist and Head of ICAR, Dr. Govindraj, who shared insights into the institute's research activities, including agronomy, crop protection, soil moisture analysis, and the manufacturing of eco-friendly products from sugarcane waste.

Dr. Kannan, Dr. Murali, and Dr. Manivannan, three esteemed scientists from ICAR, guided the students throughout the visit, showcasing ongoing projects and research developments in the field of agriculture and environmental science. This engagement offered the students a practical understanding of the theoretical concepts learned in their courses.
