A new public toilet constructed at a cost of Rs.25 lakh in Sugunapuram East, Senthil Nagar, within the 92nd ward of Coimbatore, was inaugurated by Deputy Mayor Vetri Selvan on March 13, alongside various development initiatives.
Coimbatore: Marking a significant milestone in urban development within the 92nd ward, Deputy Mayor Vetri Selvan inaugurated a newly constructed public toilet in Sugunapuram East, Senthil Nagar. This facility, built with an investment of Rs.25 lakh, is expected to greatly benefit the local community, addressing a long-standing need for public sanitation.

The inauguration was attended by key figures including the zone secretaries Shivashakti and Mahalingam, representatives Manimaran, Guruvaayurappan, Muthuvel, and senior party leader Natarajan, along with Chandrasekar, Sekar, Velu, Ranjit, Balu, Kumaran, Ponnarasu, Senthil, and many others.

In addition to the public toilet, several development projects were initiated in the 92nd ward to enhance local infrastructure and living conditions. Noteworthy among these was the establishment of a drinking water pipeline near Vijayalakshmi Mills bus stop and the opening of a new borewell near Narasimmapuram SS Corner, both aimed at improving water access for the residents.

These projects, including the public toilet facility, represent the local government's commitment to improving public amenities and addressing the needs of its citizens. The presence of Coimbatore Municipal Corporation Assistant Engineer (Po) Kanagaraj and other dignitaries underscored the collaborative effort involved in these developmental initiatives.
