The ban, effective from today, March 15, until March 19, 2024, encompasses various usual and temporary Red Zone areas across Coimbatore.
Prime Minister Modi is expected to participate in several events in Kanyakumari district on March 17, following which a roadshow is planned in Coimbatore on March 18. The roadshow is set to take place from the Housing Unit area on Mettupalayam Road to R.S. Puram.
To ensure the safety and security of the event, the Coimbatore City Police have extended the drone flight ban to include specific localities such as Thudiyalur, Goundampalayam, Saibaba Colony, Vadavalli, and R.S. Puram, designating them as temporary Red Zones.
