Rathinam College Hosts the F-SERIES Fiesta: A Fusion of Food, Fashion, and Film

Rathinam College of Arts and Science celebrated the F-SERIES Fiesta on March 16, 2024, with celebrities Andrea Jeremiah and Stephen Devassy, featuring contests and performances that captivated over 5,000 students.


Coimbatore: The Rathinam College of Arts and Science was abuzz with excitement as it hosted the grand F-SERIES (Food, Fashion, Film) Fiesta on March 16, 2024. Held at the Rathinam Grand Hall, the event saw a whopping attendance of over 5,000 students, all gathered to revel in a celebration of creativity and talent.

The spectacular evening was graced by the presence of notable celebrities including actress and Indian playback singer Andrea Jeremiah, known for her diverse roles in films and her debut playback singing in "Anniyan". Joining her was the "Prince of Piano", musician Stephen Devassy, whose live music concert set the stage alive. The event also featured Vj Siddhu and Harshath Khan, renowned YouTuber, entertainer, and prank star from Chennai, ensuring the audience was thoroughly entertained throughout the fiesta.



Shima Sendhil, Director of the Rathinam Group of Institutions, Dr. R. Manickam, CEO & Secretary, Rathinam Group of Institutions, and Dr. Balasubramaniam, Principal of Rathinam College of Arts & Science, presided over the event, adding to the grandeur of the festivities.

The evening was packed with highlights including a Short Film Contest by the Department of Visual Communication, a Fashion Parade by the Department of Costume Design & Fashion, and a delightful food carnival, making it a night to remember. Prizes worth Rs. 50,000 were awarded to the winners across various contests.



Winners of the Short Film Contest were celebrated for their cinematic talents, with "Thunai" taking the first prize, followed by "Poongatru Pudhidhanadhu", "Oru Dhum", "Thean Chittu Catering", and "Oru Thallu Case" in subsequent places.

The Fashion Parade saw Bishop Appasamy College of Arts & Science, Coimbatore clinching the first prize, with Dream Zone, Coimbatore, and SRM University, Chennai, following closely. Special awards were also given for Best Crazy Designer to Kongu College of Arts & Science, Erode, and Best Catwalk to Nehru College of Arts & Science, Coimbatore.



The F-SERIES Fiesta not only showcased the immense talent within Rathinam College but also highlighted the vibrancy and dynamism of its student community, setting a new benchmark for college festivals.
