Coimbatore District Collector Launches Election Awareness Vehicle

As part of a voters’ awareness drive aimed at 100 percent voter turnout in Coimbatore district, Collector and District Election Officer Kranthi Kumar flagged off an election awareness vehicle, today.



Coimbatore: In an effort to highlight the importance of voting, District Collector and Election Officer Kranthi Kumar Padi initiated an election awareness campaign by unveiling a mobile awareness vehicle at the District Collectorate, today.

Underlining the importance of an informed and ethical electoral participation, the Public Relations Department has spearheaded this campaign. A specially designed vehicle will traverse the district, showcasing educational videos to elucidate the electorate on the value of their vote and the imperatives of maintaining honesty during the electoral process.



During the launch, District ElectionOfficer, Kranthi Kumar articulated the campaign's goal to achieve absolute voter turnout in Coimbatore, with a focus on engaging first-time voters. The district administration plans to collaborate with NGOs, self-help groups, and notable organizations such as the Rotary and Lions Club to disseminate the voting message comprehensively, he added. 

This awareness vehicle is set to cover both urban and rural territories of the district, aiming to bolster election awareness. Concurrently, election authorities are vigilant in overseeing adherence to the election code of conduct throughout the district.
