Coimbatore: In anticipation of the Lok Sabha elections set for April 19th in Tamil Nadu, police departments across districts are engaging in flag marches to ensure public safety and promote voting without fear.
To bolster voter confidence in Coimbatore district, Superintendent of Police Badrinarayanan led a crucial flag march in Coimbatore today (March 25), starting from the Thondamuthur Sub-Registrar's office to the Puthupalayam division, across approximately 2 kilometers.
The march saw participation from over 200 personnel including Coimbatore District Police, Armed Reserve, and the Central Industrial Security Force, along with additional/deputy superintendents, inspectors, and sub-inspectors.
As the election draws closer, security measures have been escalated throughout the district, including enhanced vehicle screenings.
