3700 kg of ration rice seized in Nallur

In a vehicle inspection conducted by DSP Janani Priya of the Civil Supplies unit in Nallur, police seized 3700 kg of ration rice being illegally transported in a cargo vehicle.


Coimbatore: Within the Nallur village panchayat, situated in Pollachi's southern region, a cargo vehicle smuggling 3.7 tons of ration rice was intercepted and seized.

Led by DSP Janani Priya, the team halted a cargo vehicle for inspection and uncovered 3700 kg of ration rice being illicitly moved. 

Subsequent to the find, police apprehended Sathish Kumar (27), who was implicated in the smuggling operation, confiscating 3.7 tons of ration rice and the vehicle used in the crime. They are currently on the lookout for another individual named Manikandan, believed to be involved in the smuggling scheme.
