Coimbatore: In a significant stride towards combating the water crisis, Siruthuli organized a crucial meeting with 85 representatives from various Resident Associations and housing committees in Coimbatore on 3rd April 2024. This assembly was part of Siruthuli's 75-day campaign, "Thuli Thuliyai Siruthuliyai," aimed at addressing the pressing water scarcity over 11 weeks. Each week, the campaign focuses on different sectors, involving discussions, and exploring viable solutions and strategies for water conservation.

This week's discussions revolved around engaging residents and association office bearers in identifying areas of excessive water use within households, including wash basins, sinks, showers, bathing, and gardening practices. The participants delved into the challenges faced in these areas and discussed potential water conservation techniques. In an effort to promote these practices, Siruthuli distributed pamphlets and posters detailing 12 essential steps for water conservation, designed to guide residents in reducing water wastage significantly. A consensus was reached among the participants to actively follow these steps and to spread awareness within their communities.

The campaign continues, with the next meeting scheduled for 13th April 2024 with various catering and wedding hall owners associations at the Siruthuli Office, Noyyal Life Centre, Coimbatore. This initiative highlights Siruthuli's commitment to fostering a culture of water conservation across the city.
