BJP Candidate Vasantharajan Pledges to Establish a Coir Research Institute in Pollachi

In Pollachi, BJP candidate Vasantharajan has committed to revitalizing the declining coir industry by proposing the establishment of a Coir Research Institute and enhancing the economic viability of coir factories in the region.


Coimbatore: On April 3rd, BJP candidate for the Pollachi Parliamentary constituency, Vasantharajan, engaged in a series of voter outreach efforts across the northern and southern unions of the region. Following his campaign trail, he held a discussion with administrators of coir factory associations in Pollachi. During this meeting, Vasantharajan collected votes and made a significant pledge to address the challenges facing the coir industry.



Vasantharajan promised to undertake various steps to improve the conditions of the struggling coir factories, aiming to transform Pollachi into a thriving hub for coir production. Recognizing the industry's potential for economic upliftment, he assured the establishment of a Coir Research Institute in Pollachi.

This institute is expected to foster innovation, enhance product quality, and ultimately lead to the rejuvenation of the local coir industry.These initiatives mark a focused effort to revive the coir sector, which has been fading due to various factors, by enhancing its economic contribution and ensuring sustainable development in the region.
