Neonatal Nurses team of KMCH declared Champions at a National level quiz contest

Kovai Medical Center and Hospital Neonatal Nurses team including V Bavithra and N Pradhipa have been declared national champions at a quiz contest that was hosted by the National Neonatal Forum (NNF) at the recently organised National Neonatal Conference at Indore.

Every year NNF conducts quiz contest for nurses who are working in neonatal units all over India to stimulate and improve their knowledge in newborn care. This quiz contest is hosted in various stages. The preliminaries were hosted in Coimbatore and zonal level was hosted in Chennai.

A statement issued by KMCH pointed out that the team of nurses from this hospital has been winning quiz competitions at different levels for the last four years. Last year the team from KMCH finished third in the grand finale and this year the team from KMCH are declared champions in the prestigious quiz contest.



Nurses are the backbone of neonatal care. Good nursing care is very essential for the success of any neonatal intensive care unit anywhere in the world. For a high quality nursing care, well educated nurses who understand the clinical condition of babies is very essential. National Neonatal Forum hosts quiz competitions to stimulate nurses to achieve this goal. KMCH offers quality education in the field of neonatal care.
