Coimbatore Islamic Federation Pledges Support to India Alliance - Meets CM MK Stalin.

In a significant move, the  Coimbatore Islamic Federation has endorsed the India Alliance in the upcoming parliamentary elections, supporting DMK candidates in Coimbatore and Pollachi constituencies.


Coimbatore: On April 12th, during Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin's visit to Coimbatore, the Coimbatore Islamic Federation formally pledged their support to the India Alliance for the forthcoming parliamentary elections. 

The federation submitted a letter backing DMK candidates Ganapathi Rajkumar for Coimbatore and Eswarasamy for Pollachi.



The Federation commended the DMK's humanitarian actions, particularly the 2021 initiative that saw the release of Muslim inmates without religious discrimination. They emphasized their support was based on the DMK's commitment to democracy, minority welfare, and equitable governance. In discussions, the Federation outlined their efforts to promote a people-centric government and presented various community-specific demands to the Chief Minister. 



Upon receiving the letter, Chief Minister Stalin expressed gratitude towards the Federation for their robust support.
